Choose up to 3 pharmacies.
How to use this tool
Pick two or three pharmacies to see them side by side. Search by pharmacy name, town or postcode, then choose from the list. The page address updates as you choose, so you can bookmark or share a comparison.
Each pharmacy page also has a Compare with nearby pharmacies button that opens this tool with that pharmacy and the two nearest alternatives already selected.
What is compared
- Opening hours for every day, including lunch breaks, so you can see which pharmacy is open when you need it.
- Sunday and late opening: whether the pharmacy opens on Sunday, and the latest weekday closing time (we count 8pm or later as late).
- Pharmacy First: whether the pharmacy offers it and, where it lists them, which of the seven conditions it covers.
- Services, grouped as vaccinations, contraception and sexual health, prescriptions and delivery, medicines support, tests and health checks, and other services.
- Facilities and access, such as step-free access, a private consultation room, parking and a hearing loop.
- Distance in a straight line from the first pharmacy you chose, plus each pharmacy’s phone number and type (walk-in or online only).
Where the information comes from
Every listing is verified: our researcher checked each pharmacy against its NHS website profile and its own website. Contact details also come from NHS Business Services Authority data. A dash means we have no published information for that item, not that the pharmacy doesn’t offer it. See our methodology.
Hours and services can change at short notice, especially on bank holidays. Phone the pharmacy before you travel for a specific service. If something is wrong, use the correction form.
Questions
Can I compare an online pharmacy with a local one?
Yes. Online (distance-selling) pharmacies show as “Online only”. They send medicines by post or delivery and don’t offer walk-in services.
Why is a service missing for one pharmacy?
We only list a service when the pharmacy’s NHS website profile or its own website names it. A missing service may still be offered, so ask the pharmacy.
Does it cost anything?
No. The tool is free, needs no account and doesn’t store your choices.
