These terms govern your use of pharmacycompare.uk (“the site”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. Who we are

Pharmacy Compare is an independent directory of NHS community pharmacies, operated by James Whitfield (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@pharmacycompare.uk.

2. What the site is

The site is a free information directory built from official public data — principally NHS Business Services Authority data — with supporting information from the NHS website, pharmacies’ own websites and other official sources. It is a research tool, not a healthcare service. We are not a pharmacy, not an NHS body, and not a provider of medical care or advice. Nothing on the site is medical advice; see our medical disclaimer.

3. Using the site

You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the source page.

You may not scrape, harvest or re-publish substantial parts of the directory on another site or in another product without our written permission. Note that the underlying NHS data itself is publicly available under the Open Government Licence — we claim no rights over it, only over the way we have organised, researched and presented it here.

4. Accuracy and availability

We build the site from official records and refresh the data regularly, but information can change between refreshes, and sources can contain errors. We don’t guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail is current at the moment you read it. Always confirm important details — opening hours, service availability — directly with the pharmacy before relying on them.

5. External websites

The site links to external websites, including NHS resources and pharmacy websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s design, write-ups, research and organisation of data are © James Whitfield, all rights reserved. NHS data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. NHS and NHSBSA branding belong to their respective owners and are not used on this site.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to breach the site’s security, interfere with its availability, introduce malicious code, or submit knowingly false correction reports. We may restrict access for abusive use.

9. Linking to us

You may link to any page on the site, provided the link is fair, accurate and not misleading — and provided it doesn’t imply we endorse you or your product. We may withdraw this permission at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
